“Fear” is a mellifluous soul rocking ditty about a scripted internal crusade of ceaseless hope and satire. This is “Graham Davy”‘s third single and it is a marvelous melodic piece. It’s topic touches on the incessant fear that sprouts from our own depths of darkness. It is beautifully and chillingly sung and played with sedately ease by the mesmerising duo that is “Graham Davy”.
Their crooning sounds and rocking is blended with a serene style that would remind you of Van Morrison and The Doors. Its bluesy instrumentals and spine-tingling lyrics combined with an effortless talent from all beyond measure, makes for such easy listening. You might just feel inclined to toss a pair of shades on and grin back at your troubles.
The “Graham Davy’s”; Patrick O’Keeffe and David Ruth, their producer Scott Halliday and drummer/composer Tommy Gray with all due respect are an assemblage of melodical masterminds. Patrick O’Keeffe wrote the lyrics to “Fear” when he found himself using music to find balance within, and in doing so, his close friend and lifelong musician David Ruth knew there was an instant allure to what was being created. Together what they have achieved is a brilliantly composed single that resonates why music is indeed a great escape.
“Fear” is an excellent third release to follow their two previous released singles, “Solitude” and “The Horror Show”, which have been played across Ireland by leading radio DJ’s. Those who have already found themselves enthralled with Graham Davys vibe and sound will be unsurprisingly pleased and satisfied with the recently released single. Check them out below:
